Welcome to Oak Leaf Therapeutic Horsemanship Center.  We are located at 103 Oakley Lane, Nicholson, PA 18446 in Northeastern Pennsylvania and provide therapeutic horseback riding for children and adults with special needs.  You can find us on Google Maps, by entering Oak Leaf Horsemanship Center, and contact us by calling 570-945-3922 or emailing Loretta@oakleafthc.org

Oak Leaf THC is a PATH International member center and all classes are conducted by a Path International certified  instructor who has completed specialized training to teach riders with a wide variety of special needs.

Our mission is to help children and adults with special needs expand their possibilites and impove their physical,emotional, social and educational abilities through therapeutic horsemanship.

Program

Oak Leaf provides theraputic sports and leisure riding in which our particiants are able to improve strength, balance and gain confidence.

Other programs, including hippotherapy, are planned for the near future.

Volunteers

We rely on our volunteers without whom our riders could not gain the benefits of therapeutic riding.  

Volunteers help with all aspects of the lessons:helping the riders mount and dismount the horses, when needed lead the horses during the lesson and walk beside the riders.
